Pakistan’s economy has been in a state of “clown motherhood” for a long time. But the people of Pakistan are realizing that that dream is not coming trueRecently, a comment made by Ehsan Iqbal, a minister in Pakistan, caused a stir in the net world.
Iqbal, in a face-to-face meeting with journalists, appealed to the countrymen that if Pakistanis eat a few cups a day and eat less pressure, the country’s economy will be stronger.
Pakistan is the world’s largest tea importer. As a result, the country has to import tea from abroad in exchange for large sums of money. Of which tea worth Tk 1300 crore had to be imported.
Imran said Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves were declining rapidly. In addition to drinking less tea, he suggested closing shops by 8pm to save electricity. The economic crisis is a big test for the Shahbaz Sharif government.
He came to power in April after defeating Imran Khan in a parliamentary election. Shortly after being sworn in as Pakistan’s prime minister, Shahbaz Sharif accused Imran Khan’s outgoing government of mismanaging the economy. He acknowledged that reviving the economy would be a huge challenge for him.
