Rahul Gandhi was supposed to appear in the ED office on that day. As such, he left for the ED office before 11 am today. He started his journey on foot from the Congress headquarters in Delhi towards the ED headquarters. It is to be noted that the Congress had called for a ‘Satyagraha’ procession before the appearance of Rahul’s ED on this day. Although the procession was not allowed by the Congress. In this atmosphere, before going to Rahul Gandhi’s ED office, a number of party leaders and workers had gathered in front of the Congress headquarters on Akbar Road. They were arrested and taken away by the Delhi Police.
Today, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to appear before the ED office in the National Herald case. Earlier, Delhi Congress workers had organized a pre-planned Satyagraha procession. However, the police arrested the Congress workers for lack of permission for the ‘Satyagraha procession’.
The detained Congress workers were taken in a prison van. The slogan ‘Rahul Gandhi Zindabad’ was on the faces of the arrested Congress leaders and activists even as they were getting into the prison van.
