Newshub18:I will eat khichuri by collecting subscription, I will not eat Katmani: Siddikulla Chowdhury.
Be it the last assembly polls or later, Trinamool Congress leaders have repeatedly been accused of ‘interfering’ with various government projects. With which the leaders of Left-BJP have been repeatedly seen firing cannons against the ruling party. I promise the party leaders will not take any cut.
I will raise the moon, but I will raise it.’ Siddikulla Chowdhury, the state’s library minister and MLA of Monteswar assembly, was heard to say this on Tuesday. A big rally was organized in support of Trinamool Congress president Harisadan Ghosh of Memari 2nd block of East Bardhaman on Tuesday. From there, Siddikulla was seen giving a stern message to the party leaders about Katmani with Harisadan by his side. At the same time, he said, “This party has been built by Mamata Banerjee with great sacrifice. Government has given 72 schemes for every people.
I will tell everyone especially the brothers and sisters of Scheduled Castes, Tribes tell us what did not get, tell us what to do. We will leave the chair next to the one we are sitting on for tribal candidates. I am giving this. No word will be lost.” Not stopping here, Siddiqullah further said, “No one will be associated with any kind of violence. Party leaders will not take a cut. We will raise the subscription. I will eat khichuri and rice with potatoes and onions. But, I will not let anyone eat Katmani. To this day no one can say that I asked anyone for four paise.”
However, a counter-reaction has come from the Padma camp in this context. In a sarcastic tone, BJP’s district general secretary Mritunjay Chandra said, “People have no connection with the Trinamool Congress. There is only connection with Katmani and Tolabaji. So the minister is now promising that the cuts will not be taken.”
