A fire broke out on the sets of Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’ in Mumbai. According to Hindustan Times, the fire started around 4:30 pm local time in Mumbai on Friday. The shooting of the film was going on in a 1000 square feet area at Chitrakoot ground near Sadar Bazar in Andheri. No casualties were reported. It is also not known whether Ranveer was present on the sets when the fire broke out.

Times of India reported that the set of ‘Animal’ was destroyed after the fire. Shooting of another film of Rajrishi production company was going on very close to this set. The film with which Sunny Deol’s younger son Rajveer is supposed to make his debut. Soon after the fire, the shooting of the film was stopped midway.

In the video posted by the paparazzi on social media, it can be seen that after the fire, Chitrakoot ground was engulfed in smoke. An eyewitness told the media that the fire started from a shop near the shooting set, which later spread to the shooting location. Three units of the fire service were working to douse the fire till the last news. Around the shooting set of ‘Animal’ there are several studios of several production houses including Yash Raj, Fun Cinemas, Balaji.
